I am learning to choose words to make my writing interesting.

"It is tricky to colour in the gaps of my picture. It is tricky to write the words that are big.  I love to sound out the words.  Mrs Wyatt and my friends sometimes help me with my writing."

I am learning to identify sentences, for eg, the beginning with capital letters, and the end with full stops.

"I am finding all the letters to make the word. It was really hard because I had to look for the letters.  I did it all by myself.  I felt happy when I finished."

I am learning the patterns for numbers 1-5 are recognised instantly.

"We were counting to five.  It is tricky to count to five because sometimes I get mixed up.  The teacher can help me."
